Low Level Laser Therapy, also known as LLLT Therapy, or simply LLLT, has been shown to be MODERATELY effective at Revitalizing the Hair and Scalp of Men and Women with Hair Loss.

1. WHAT CAUSES MALE PATTERN HAIR LOSS?

DHT (Dihydrotestosterone, a byproduct of testosterone and the enzyme 5~Alpha~ Reductase) in and around the hair follicles causes inflammation, which in turn damages the follicles’ ability to keep producing healthy hair. If this DHT induced inflammation is left unchecked, DHT susceptible follicles become more and more inflamed / damaged, thus producing weaker and finer hairs until, in the final stages of hair loss, the follicles have been damaged so much, that they can no longer produce hair.

All this happens at the cellular level of course. All the balding person really notices, is that his/her hair is thinning, and also maybe the scalp is itchy or overly greasy or basically not like it was when they had a full head of hair.

NOTE: Whether DHT is the only culprit causing hair loss is not really known. Other factors also may be at work here.

2. HOW DOES LLLT WORK WITH REGARDS TO HAIR LOSS?

LLLT works by helping to repair the damage caused by DHT through a process known as Bio~Photo~Stimulation. Light Photons penetrate the effected tissue and cells causing a Photo~chemical reaction. In effect, the photons are re~energizing the tissues and cells causing them to heal themselves thus reducing /reversing the negative effects of inflammation in and around the hair follicles.

3. AREN’T LASERS USED FOR CUTTING, BURNING, HAIR REMOVAL, ETC…?

Yes, certain types of lasers are used for those purposes. But Low Level Lasers fall into a completely different category.

LLLT lasers are known as Cold Lasers because they produce no heat. This is what differentiates them from lasers that are used for cutting, burning, hair removal, etc. Typically LLLT uses lasers in the range of 1mw up to 500mw per beam. They are either used in continuous~wave mode or pulsed mode. For hair loss, lasers in the red spectrum, wavelength of 635 to 660nm are used. There is debate as to what exact wavelength produces the best results. The majority consensus is 650 to 660nm produce a little better results than do the lower wavelengths. But  whichever wavelength is better, it wouldn’t be significantly better.

4. IS LLLT / BIO~PHOTO~STIMULATION DOSE DEPENDENT?

Yes, it is. There is a certain **Window of Effectiveness of light energy needed to effectively activate the Bio~Photo~Stimulation process in tissue and cells. This window is basically anywhere from 1.5 to 6Joules/cm squared (J/cm2) of low level laser energy for treating hair loss. Anything lower than 1.5J/cm2 may still produce results, but those results will be quite minimal.

Above 6J/cm2 and you are slowly getting into the Bio~Inhibiting effect which is used for pain relief and not for treating hair loss.

5. WHAT FACTORS DETERMINE HOW MUCH ENERGY IS DELIVERED TO THE SCALP?

The Factors are:

                    1. The output of the LLLT Device being used.

                2. Whether the device outputs a Pulsed or Continuous Wave.

                    3. The Treatment time.

                    4. The Area /size of the scalp being treated.

LAZERFISH NOTE: It appears that PULSING the Laser light  at a frequency close to 9KHZ, may provide  better results, not Hugely so, but moderately so I would say.

Thus the NEW LAZERFISH 9KHZ PULSED HAIR AND SCALP BRUSH will have the LLLT Lasers pulsed at 9khz and a total Output power of roughly 250MW give or take.

This should provide moderate results to most who use LLLT. LLLT works even better when combined with other proven treatments.

6. HOW EFFECTIVE IS LASER THERAPY?

The fact is that LLLT is only a moderately effective treatment. Expect to see a reduction in fallout, thickening of your existing hair, and possibly minimal to moderate regrowth. LLLT is best for slowing hair loss rather than for regrowing hair.

7. WHAT’S SO DIFFERENT ABOUT

THE LAZERFISH 9KHZ PULSED?

The only difference is that the LAZERFISH 9KHZ PULSED uses More Powerful LLLT  **Dispersed Lasers.

Also, the lasers are PULSED at a frequency of 9KHZ which may provide more benefit than those lasers outputting a continuous beam.

**Dispersed means that the laser module has no focusing apparatus so the laser light instantly disperses (spreads out) on exiting the diode aperture. This makes the coverage much better and the lasers much safer if you, by accident, happen to glance directly into the beam.

8. DOES LLLT HAVE ANY NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS?

LLLT has no negative side effects.

9.  PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING THE LAZERFISH

                     1. DON'T stare directly into the laser beam.

                     2. DON'T shine it into another person’s eyes.

                 3. ALWAYS wear the Laser Safety Glasses.

                 4. NEVER attempt to repair the LAZERFISH yourself.   

                     Doing so VOIDS THE WARRANTY.

                 5. NEVER open up the LAZERFISH.

                     Doing so VOIDS THE WARRANTY.

                     There are NO  USER SERVICABLE parts inside.

                     6. KEEP the LAZERFISH stored when not in use and

                     out of the reach of children.

10. CAN LLLT BE COMBINED WITH OTHER TREATMENTS TO IMPROVE EFFECTIVENESS?

Yes, it can. There are several other treatments for thinning hair that can be used in men such as Propecia and/or Minoxidil. Using them in combination with LLLT may enhance results. These drugs do have some negative side effects so talk to your doctor before starting them.

11. DOES LLLT CAUSE ANY INITIAL SHEDDING DURING THE FIRST FEW WEEKS OF TREATMENT SIMILAR TO OTHER EFFECTIVE PRODUCTS?

Possibly, yes. Products like Minoxidil, Propecia, and Avodart have been known to cause a small initial shed in some people. LLLT may also have this effective during the first few weeks. This is nothing to be alarmed about. The shedded Telogen hairs (those in the resting phase) are being shed to make way for stronger healthier hair to replace them. It is important to note that men with MPB (Male Pattern Baldness) have more hairs in the resting phase than men who don't have MPB. Actually, shedding is a good sign that the treatment being used is actually having some benefit. 

12. WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS USING LLLT?

For those who respond to LLLT treatment, you should start seeing a cessation of hair fallout  about  6 to 8 weeks after starting treatment. 

At about 12 weeks you should notice that your hair is looking and feeling  a little thicker and fuller. 

At 16 to 24weeks, you may notice more thickening of your hair. 

From 24weeks and onward you should be able to see a noticeable difference compared to when you first started treatment. Again, please note that LLLT is best at slowing / stopping hair fallout, thickening existing hair than it is at growing lots back. That is why it is ESSENTIAL to start LLLT as soon as you notice you are losing hair.

13. WHAT IF THE LAZERFISH NEEDS REPAIR?        

ALL REPAIRS need to be done by me. Under warranty, repairs are free of charge. You just pay shipping to get it to me, I pay it back. Out of warranty and I usually fix small problems for free and something such as a faulty laser or switch at cost (meaning the cost that I pay to buy the parts).

Please kindly note that the warranty is automatically void if the customer opens or attempts repairs on their own.
